Code of conduct
Introduction
Study Association Versot is committed to fostering an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and conducive to personal and professional growth for all its members. This Code of Conduct outlines the values and expectations that guide our association’s interactions, whether during meetings, events, or online engagements. Our goal is to maintain a supportive space where all individuals, regardless of background or identity, feel welcomed and empowered to contribute meaningfully.
By being part of this board, each member agrees to uphold these standards, ensuring that mutual respect, integrity, and accountability are central to every aspect of our work environment. This code serves as a guide for behavior and work ethic, for both formal and informal settings, providing a clear outline for addressing any breaches of these expectations. We encourage open communication as a key factor of a fruitful and productive spirit of collaboration, marking this a defining aspect.
Core values
Teamwork
We believe in the power of collaboration, where diverse ideas and skills come together to create meaningful outcomes. Working cohesively and collaboratively toward something bigger fosters a supportive environment that encourages cooperation, shared success, and a greater sense of achievement. Teamwork boosts innovation, strengthens team bonding, and promotes personal growth, while also allowing you to reach your goals more efficiently and with less stress by working strategically alongside your partners.
Trust
Trust is central to our association, and we nurture positive relationships at all levels by being transparent in our actions, upholding promises, and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. Building trust fosters a culture of honesty, and mutual respect, which helps your fellow colleagues to feel secure, which enhances engagement.
Accountability
Members promise to hold themselves and each other accountable for their actions and decisions, taking ownership of both the outcomes and our mistakes. This commitment to responsibility is crucial for our growth as individuals and as an association. By actively learning from our experiences and meeting our commitments, we maintain high standards, thus creating a sense of trust.
Respect
Respect is fundamental in all our daily interactions, whether with colleagues, staff, or the wider community. It goes beyond mere politeness to encompass treating everyone with dignity and worth. We value each person’s unique perspectives and contributions and strive to create a space where everyone feels welcome, included, and appreciated in advancing the association’s goals. All members are expected to treat one another with respect, so bullying, cyberbullying, or any other form of verbal/physical abuse will also not be tolerated. Additionally, any acts of discrimination or sexual harassment will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and will be dealt with harshly and accordingly.
Enjoyment
While we work hard to achieve our goals, we believe it’s equally important to enjoy the journey. We create a positive atmosphere where (board) members can thrive and build lasting friendships. Feeling enjoyment and fulfilment at work comes from being valued and appreciated for one’s contributions, which in turn boosts engagement, productivity, and overall satisfaction. Members shall prioritise understanding, empathy, support, and recognition, to build connections and improve morale, collaboration, and loyalty.
